This is the only photo I have been able to upload

This was a red display I did when we got the new chairs - I couldn't upload this image to Flickr. Bonk! again was the message I keep getting.

Very frustrated by Flickr. Wouldn't upload one of my photos. Kept saying -Bonk- or something just as irritating. Not easy to learn when you are frustrated

iGoogle

Hmmm......had an interesting but frustrating early morning. As you can see I am doing the latest thing before doing the others. Feel like I need more time to enjoy Flickr so will try to get to that next week. I set up my iGoogle homepage no problems. Enjoyed setting my themes and looks like you can have combinations of themes depending on the heading. Then I happily went about adding all sorts of gadgets to my homepage. THEN I read what we were directed to do that is adding 23 things log and google reader - this is where I got into a tangle. When adding stuff - I was using the link on the left side of the page add feed or gadget and this wouldn't let me add either of the aforementioned things. After help from Stephen it seems I only needed to use Search for gadget on the top right side of the add stuff page . I was taking this as a device just to add the fun gadgety things and was using the other as it asks to add web addresses. Anyway just use Search for gadget and all will be well. Didn't find the directions at all helpful in this regard. Fortunately I was interrupted by a desk shift and then other stuff so am only back to it this afternoon and am happy now with the result. Also from the add feed or gadget link I was unable to add RSS feeds that I have subscribed to previously. Kept saying it couldn't find them! Dunno

Adding gadgets

Just had some actual fun adding gadgets to my blog page. Came across a tutorial on how-to and it is easy and fun. Click on layout / add gadgets / search for one and then click on the link. It will appear above followers and you can drag it down to sit just above about me. Click save and it will appear on the right side of you blog page. I resisted all the games but was very disappointed the Simpsons quote of the day is not working! Doh!

I have put aside all my other work this morning (until my desk shift soon) and have been exploring Wikis (and I think I may now read what is on the LEARN INN) - nothing like doing things the other way around. The online tutorials were very useful. I was able to add to what has already been set up - no problem. But as for setting up my own page, not sure. I am grappling with having all these things to check (maybe 23 of them!) I'm thinking it would be really useful for the marketing focus group. It is informal, being able to add at random and especially adding images to the space.
