Check out my updated photo taken this morning with my new camera for Movi-ing/VCing from my PC. Not excited about the photo (obviously) but the camera bit. Having loads of fun with my RSSing except for blocking of a site of real interest to me. But I have managed to get Google Reader going and adding RSS feeds. I can happily copy and paste URLs but I really like the big buttons that appear saying Add to Google Reader and hey presto it appears. If anyone is interested, for Stephen Fry fans - he has a great site/blog - http://www.stephenfry.com/ timely if you watched his recent programmes broadcast recently.

Just like Christmas

Also have my new camera and headset - hopefully will get time to explore some of the cameras functions. May even use it to take a photo to put on my blog page! Will need a make-up artist and some back lighting and possibly some filmy fabric to put over the camera lens.
Still loving this spell check. Note you have to left mouse click on the word highlighted in yellow and it will give you options

Explaining Movi

Now I'm an expert on Movi (not!) used See&Share to explain it to a colleague. What it looks like, how to change number to name etc. etc.

Movi-ing on down

Have just done my first Movi - and wasn't I making a king sized mountain out of the mole hill. I was following the 'library software guide' for Movi and thinking I had to initiate a conference blah blah as per the guide. Nearly lost it when it asked for a billing code. Anyway long story short Helen set me in the right direction. I had already loaded Movi and all I had to do was change the number assigned to me, to my name in the form of Firstname.Surname via the wrench symbol found on the screen. Helen then searched for me, found me and dialled me. hey presto we were Movi-ing. Hope this helps someone else! And I do like the spell check on this thing
Just did See&Share exercise with my workmates here at the Hill - once I stopped procrastinating and actually did it, it all went very smoothly. We all had a bit of fun scribbling over a metamarc record with our different colour pens. Since we didn't have hands free phones it was a bit awkward trying to type as well but otherwise no problems. I like the fact you can log in and start a session when required instead of having to book a set time as appears to be the case with Movi. Too much commitment! Now on to setting up a Movi session which does appear a little more involved....

Starting off

Starting 23 things - I am picking out bits and pieces as I go. As you can see I have started on the blogging before I've done see & share or movi. I guess you will attack this in the same way you learn. I procrastinate if I think something maybe involved or cumbersome (whether it is or not). I didn't have any issues setting up my Google account other than I appear to have set one up in a previous life and of course had forgotten my password. Once they emailed me a way out of that it was ok. I have spent a bit of time on Janison organising my thoughts but also printing off the instructions to make a booklet so I can keep a paper based / written record of what I am doing and how long it takes. Also to take notes and write down those important bits we need to remember. TLC were good in getting a pin to me for see and share. Now to do it

Thinking of a blog name

For feedback I will address each topic individually - still not sure how it will pan out. Feel like I should say something witty but am worn out after thinking of a title for this blog (and that occurred yesterday) Then I noticed that you all had a take on the 23 things title which is obvious to most - but not to me. But I'm stuck with my title now. Also I'm glad I found the spell check on this thing as I'm a notoriously bad speller

Just a thought

About 23 things I'm thinking it may have been easier to set up this blog first to communicate any problems from the start
