Just came across this post - after having a Cat, we now have a Malteste Shih-tzu (puppy) could Basil Ewok. He is a boy and Hie is my mate now. Photos should be on my Facebook page, which I don;t use a lot either. But will post a link
You will love him Greg they are such great family dogs but in danger of being spoilt because they are so cute. If I can give you one piece of advice start brushing him daily now as you will spend lots of money on grooming if you don't. Daisy is the first dog I have had that requires grooming so I am learning as I go along. And I am learning that Groomers are expensive and smug to boot
Daisy is my Maltese Shih Tzu and yes I love her
